The Lush Prize
The Lush Prize is a major new initiative focussing resources on bringing forward the day when all product safety testing takes place without the use of animals. The prize consists of a £250,000 annual fund – the biggest prize in the non-animal testing sector.
The Lush Prize website needed a responsive visual design that would feel like a natural progression from the previous desktop-only design. The website would also need to support multi-lingual content.
For the build we elected to use the Twitter Bootstrap framework coupled with WordPress, a lightweight user-friendly CMS. The WordPress theme is fully responsive across a range of different sized devices. I am also part of the team responsible for its ongoing upkeep, involving content changes and technical and security maintenance, as well as on-site search engine optimisation.
