The Lush Spring Prize
Ethical Consumer and Lush Cosmetics launched the Lush Spring Prize on 5th December 2016, with an annual £200,000 prize fund and other support activities, awarded to build capacity for those repairing the earth’s damaged systems.
The Prize identifies and celebrates projects around the world that are increasing the capacity of communities and societies to thrive in harmony with nature and each other. This may include organisations that are generating renewable resources, restoring ecosystem functions, and supporting communities in becoming more resilient.
The brief
A bright, modern design, easily navigable, with the ability to search and filter the shortlisted and winning projects. It was essential that the site be based on a robust CMS that would allow staff to easily manage and update the site content.
The solution
The website is easy to navigate and works well across devices. It has a fresh, inviting design that feels familiar enough to be easily navigated, while still retaining its own individuality. For the build we elected to use the Twitter Bootstrap framework coupled with WordPress, a lightweight user-friendly CMS. The WordPress theme is fully responsive across a range of different sized devices. The site is hosted on a hosting platform tailor made specifically for this CMS.
